Evan Read

Evan Read, CD, Dipl.M.M., AMP, currently serves as the Manager of Elections and Special Projects for the City of Vaughan since September 2015, overseeing municipal elections and various civic administrative functions. Prior experience includes roles such as Business Analyst in Strategic Planning, where Evan facilitated departmental business plans and corporate progress reports. As a Municipal Management Intern, responsibilities included policy development and event planning for the City’s 25th Anniversary. Additionally, Evan holds the rank of Major in the Cadet Instructors Cadre of the Canadian Forces, focusing on youth education and training management. Academic credentials comprise a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University and post-graduate education in Public Administration and Municipal Management.
