Darryl Henderson

Darryl Henderson is a seasoned architect with extensive experience across various leadership roles in the architecture and design industry. Currently serving as a Senior Architect for the City of Virginia Beach since March 2023, Henderson previously held the position of Managing Principal in the Buildings Sector at Woolpert from January 2022 to March 2023. With a background that includes being a Principal at ARIVE Architecture + Interiors and leading the Interiors Market Sector at Hanbury, Henderson has consistently focused on creating projects that align with client missions. Additional roles include Associate Vice President at AECOM, Design Division Manager in Government Services IPT, and Director of Interiors at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP. Henderson began a professional journey after earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University in 1983.
