Jose Heredia possesses extensive experience in community improvement and security management. Currently serving as Community Improvement Maintenance I and Code Enforcement Officer I for the City of Vista since April 2022, Jose has previously worked at LEGOLAND California Resort from June 2010 to March 2023, holding various positions including Park Ranger, Security Duty Manager, and Security Team Lead. Responsibilities included guest and vendor management, operating communication and surveillance systems, and providing exceptional guest services. From May 2017 to September 2018, Jose served as a Security Officer at Palomar Health, ensuring safety and utilizing crisis prevention techniques. Jose holds an Associate's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Palomar College, attained between 2010 and 2012.

The City of Vista is a Charter Law city and was incorporated on January 28, 1963. Located just seven miles inland from the Pacific Ocean in northern San Diego County, the City of Vista has a perfect mild Mediterranean climate. Residents enjoy a wide range of year-round outdoor activities in a setting of gentle rolling hills and pleasant rural surroundings. Vista is approximately 19 square miles with a population of 98,896. The City handles sewer utilities and contracts with Vista Irrigation District for its water services. The City operates its own Fire Department and contracts with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement services.
