Karen Melanie Gaytan currently serves as a Graduate Assistant and Community Health Worker at Waco-McLennan County Public Health District since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Patient Care Technician and Intern at Ascension from January 2022 to February 2023. Karen is pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration/Management at Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business, expected to graduate in May 2026. Previously, Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University in May 2022 and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from McLennan Community College in August 2020, having completed a High School Diploma in Health Science at University High School in December 2018.
