Robby Bergerson has over 25 years of work experience in the fire service industry. Robby currently serves as an Instructor at Firefighter Inspiration Readiness and Education. Prior to this, they held various positions at the City of Waco, TX, including Executive Deputy Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief - Emergency Operations, Division Chief/Training Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Fire Equipment Engineer, and Firefighter. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic planning, supervision of divisions, coordination between branches, and financial forecasting. Robby completed their Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University, where they attended from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they also earned an Associate's Degree in Fire Services Administration from Weatherford College, which they completed from 2005 to 2009.

In 2010 and 2011, Robby attended the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy, obtaining a Certified Fire Executive (CFE) degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership. Robby further expanded their knowledge and expertise in fire service by attending the National Fire Academy from 2016 to 2019, completing the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program.

Robby also holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration, which they obtained from Fort Hays State University, attending from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they are currently pursuing executive leadership studies at the Fire Service Executive Development Institute, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Robby has obtained various certifications related to fire service and emergency management. These include certifications such as Certified Fire Executive (CFE) from the Texas Fire Chiefs Association, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) from the Center for Public Safety Excellence, and Emergency Medical Technician from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Robby has also achieved certifications in specialties such as Fire Officer IV, Fire Service Instructor III - Master, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander, Hazardous Materials Technician, Incident Commander, Incident Safety Officer, Master Aircraft Rescue Firefighter, and Master Firefighter from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
