Mark Johnson is an experienced GIS professional with a robust background in geographic information systems. Currently serving as a GIS Analyst for the City of Wadsworth since April 2019, Mark previously held the position of Tax Map Technician at Medina County Tax Map Department, where responsibilities included reviewing legal descriptions, managing tax maps, and assisting the public. As GIS Manager for the Richland County Regional Planning Commission from January 2012 to November 2016, Mark led GIS Consortium activities and provided GIS management for the Richland County Engineer. Mark’s earlier experience includes roles at the Summit County Fiscal Office, as a GIS Applications Specialist, and at Cunningham and Associates as a Drafter/Designer. Mark’s career began at Medina County Sanitary Engineers, where various titles were held, including Survey Technician and GIS Coordinator. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from The Ohio State University, earned in 1994.
