Thom W. Burke

Thom W. Burke serves as the City Commissioner for the City of Walker since June 2021, focusing on effective policymaking, budget development, and financial management to enhance city services. In parallel, Thom holds the position of Vice President for Washington Operations & Defense Business at ST Engineering North America, where leadership is provided over 14 US subsidiaries and strategic business initiatives are pursued. Prior roles include Vice President of Washington Operations for VT Systems and various leadership positions in the U.S. Navy, including Director of Fleet Readiness Division and Commanding Officer of the USS Ronald Reagan. Thom's education includes an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan, complemented by qualifications from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and the U.S. Naval War College.
