Charles Kreling

Charles Kreling, CMA, CHP, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Senior Finance Director and Head of SOX at Central Garden & Pet since June 2015. With extensive experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Kreling has held various leadership roles, including Finance Director for SOX at the City of Walnut Creek and Vice Chair of the Design Review Commission. Additionally, Kreling is a Merit Board Member in Contra Costa County, overseeing the merit system and hearing employee appeals. Previous experience includes a consultant role at Accretive Solutions and executive positions at Kaiser Permanente, where strategic leadership in HIPAA security and SOX compliance were key achievements. Kreling holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a certificate in Commercial Pilot Technology from the College of San Mateo.
