Brad Deets has over 20 years of experience in municipal planning and administration, currently serving as the City Administrator for the City of Waukee since January 2006, after previously holding roles as Assistant City Administrator and Development Services Director. In the capacity of Development Services Director, responsibilities included short and long-term planning, managing the development review and approval process, overseeing building permit issuance and inspections, and ensuring code compliance. Prior to Waukee, Brad Deets worked as a Planner for the City of Clive, where duties encompassed reviewing development applications related to rezoning and site plans, as well as drafting and maintaining zoning ordinances. Brad Deets holds an M.B.A. from Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University.
