Laura Stanish

Laura Stanish is a dedicated recreation professional with experience in coordinating and overseeing youth sports and community programs. Currently serving as the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Waukee since February 2023, responsibilities include managing spring and fall youth softball seasons and Miracle League baseball games for children with disabilities. Previous roles include Program Specialist for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Recreation Coordinator for the Town of Prescott Valley, where creative marketing strategies were implemented. Laura's background includes internships focused on athletics, mission work, and outdoor recreation, complemented by a degree in Leisure, Youth, and Human Services with an emphasis on Youth Development from the University of Northern Iowa.
