Gumaro Martinez

Gumaro Martinez, CPM, CGFO, has extensive experience in parks and recreation management and finance, currently serving as the Executive Director of Parks & Leisure Services for the City of Waxahachie since October 2018, after progressing through various roles including Director and Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. Prior to this, Gumaro worked as a Senior Accountant and in accounts payable finance for the City of Waxahachie from August 2009 to October 2018, responsible for financial oversight including approving purchase orders and generating financial statements. Earlier professional experience includes working as an Experienced Audit Associate at McGladrey & Pullen, conducting audits across several industries. Gumaro holds a Master of Accountancy from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University.
