Anna Huffman

Anna Huffman has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Anna started their career as an Executive Assistant Marketing Coordinator at SouthCorp Properties in 2000 and later served as an Accounting Tech II at Companion Technologies, Inc. in 2002. In 2003, they worked as an Account Executive at A3 Communications, Inc. and then transitioned to become the Marketing Director at Burkett Burkett & Burkett CPAs, P.A. from 2005 to 2007. Anna then pursued their passion for dancing and worked as a Dance Instructor at Timmerman School of Dance from 2006 to 2007. Anna co-owned Gamecock Networking Solutions, LLC from 2008 to 2012 before establishing their own business, Huffman Networking, in 2012. In 2013, Anna joined the City of West Columbia and held various roles, including IT Systems Administrator & Public Information Officer, Director of Information Technology and Public Information Officer, Communications and Technology Director, and currently serves as the Director of Public Relations.

Anna Huffman obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In 2014, they attended Microstaff IT and obtained a certification in MCSA. In 2017, Anna attended the FEMA Emergency Management Institute and completed an Advanced Public Information Officer program. Anna also had additional certifications in Local Agency Security Officer from the Criminal Justice Information Services obtained in November 2021 and Training Conference from the National Information Officers Association obtained in September 2021. Lastly, in 2023, they are planning to complete Level Four Security Awareness Training in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism from CJIS Online.
