Jim Gordon

Director Of Engineering & Municipal Operations at City of White Rock

Jim Gordon has extensive work experience in engineering and municipal operations. Jim is currently the Director of Engineering & Municipal Operations at the City of White Rock, where they lead a department of 50 staff members responsible for infrastructure and resident services. Prior to this role, they worked as a General Manager of Engineering & Regional Utilities at the City of Abbotsford for 13 years. During this time, they oversaw a staff of 250 and managed infrastructure projects across various areas. Before joining the City of Abbotsford, they held the position of Operations Manager at both the City of Abbotsford and the District of Matsqui. Jim Gordon also has experience as a Project Engineer at the City of Vancouver. Additionally, they have worked as a Hockey Analytics Developer, analyzing factors influencing NHL hockey games and developing algorithms to predict results.

Jim Gordon attended The University of British Columbia from 1976 to 1981, where they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering.
