Sean Dunn

Sean Dunn currently serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Williamsburg, Virginia, a position held since June 2017. Prior to this role, Sean was the Chief of Police in Martinsville, Virginia, from May 2014 to June 2017, overseeing a police department serving a diverse community of nearly 14,000 residents. Sean's law enforcement career began with the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, where tenured positions included Police Commander, Police Captain, Police Lieutenant, Police Sergeant, and Police Officer from 1993 to May 2014. In the role of Police Commander, Sean managed significant operational areas within a department serving almost 100,000 residents. Sean holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and has completed various prestigious leadership programs, including the FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.
