Jacob Morente

Jacob Morente serves as Captain in the Fire Marshal’s Office for the City of Wilmington, DE, since November 2020 and is also a part-time instructor at the Delaware State Fire School since 2003, contributing over ten years to public education and fire prevention programs. Previously, Jacob held the position of Accreditation Program Coordinator for the State of Delaware from September 2019 to November 2020, coordinating accreditation activities with local law enforcement. Prior experience includes roles as Lieutenant in the Wilmington Fire Department, Vice-Chairman for the Local Emergency Planning Committee for New Castle County, Fire Safety Inspector at West Chester University, and General Manager at Brandywine Flowers, Inc. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Public Safety Management from Saint Joseph's University and various other degrees in Emergency Services and Human Services.
