Christopher O'Connor

Christopher O'Connor's work experience begins in 1999 as a Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP, where they contributed to the Global Centre of Excellence for Business Continuity and led the IT internal audit and business continuity teams. In 2001, they joined KPMG as a Senior Manager in Risk Advisory Services, taking on responsibilities such as business planning, recruitment, and client service delivery. At Deloitte, starting in 2004, O'Connor served as a Senior Manager in Enterprise Risk, leading teams, developing methodologies, and implementing new product solutions for IT risk management and governance. Christopher then spent time at TD Bank Group as a Senior Audit Group Manager in IT Audit, overseeing complex and regulatory audits. O'Connor later founded their own company, O'Connor Risk Management Services Limited, specializing in IT risk management. Christopher was also a Partner at PwC Canada, responsible for delivering risk assurance and consulting services. Additionally, O'Connor has served as Auditor General & Chief Audit Executive at the City of Windsor and as a Partner at The Garden in Harrington. Most recently, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Risk Savvy Ltd.

Christopher O'Connor attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a BBA with a focus on Business, Co-operative Option. Christopher then pursued Post Grad Studies in Historical & Systematic Theology at Hertiage College & Seminary from 1997 to 1998.

Apart from their formal education, Christopher O'Connor also holds several certifications. Christopher obtained the Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in May 2003. In addition, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in May 2001. Furthermore, they became a Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) through ISACA in September 2000. Christopher also holds the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT® (CGEIT) certification from ISACA, which they obtained in March 2009.

It is worth noting that Christopher O'Connor has acquired additional certifications as well. These include the Associate Business Continuity Planner certification from DRII, the Certification in Controls Self Assessment from IIA, the Certified Information Systems Auditor certification from ISACA, the Certified Internal Auditor certification from IIA, and the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT certification from ISACA. However, the specific months and years when these certifications were obtained are unknown.
