Kirk Cumming

Kirk Cumming has extensive experience in information systems management, primarily with the City of Winnipeg, where duties have included overseeing the development and support of mission-critical applications for Winnipeg Transit as the Manager of Information Systems. Kirk has effectively led teams, managing strategic visions for groups of up to 26 IT professionals and handling essential technology needs. Previous roles included Manager of Data & Application Services, Manager of Data Services, and Project Leader, while initial experience as a Programmer Analyst involved software architecture and development for Winnipeg Transit. Earlier in Kirk's career, work as a researcher at Sony focused on emerging technologies and prototypes. Kirk holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University, and an Honours Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Manitoba.
