Drew Benson, MPA, serves as the Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development for the City of Wixom since April 2021. Previously, Drew held the position of Director of Community & Economic Development for the City of Clawson, overseeing key municipal functions and coordinating significant building projects. As Assistant to the City Manager in Troy, Drew managed special projects, policy analysis, and public engagement initiatives. Experience also includes roles in the Village of Oxford, where Drew contributed to marketing and communications as well as administrative operations, and internships focused on community engagement and communications in Rochester and at the College of Charleston. Drew holds a Master's in Public Administration from Oakland University and a Bachelor's in Public Relations and Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University.
