Chris Zito has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Chris'smost recent role is Chief of Police at the City of Wood Dale, where they have been serving since November 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions within the Wood Dale Police Department, including Deputy Chief of Operations, Police Sergeant, Detective, and Police Officer. Chris also has experience outside of law enforcement, having worked as a Project Development Coordinator at Excel Forms & Graphics, Inc. and as a Software Development Engineer at Jspectra, LLC. Chris started their career as an Associate Consultant at Kanbay Incorporated and as a Project Management Assistant at Rockwell Electronic Commerce.

Chris Zito attended Schaumburg High School from 1993 to 1997 and obtained a High School Diploma. Chris then enrolled in DeVry Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computer Information Systems. Continuing their education, Chris pursued a Master of Business Administration - MBA at Roosevelt University from 2001 to 2003, specializing in Integrated Marketing Communications. In 2004, they completed the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) and received their Illinois Police Officer Certification in Law Enforcement.

City of Wood Dale

The City of Wood Dale is a northwest suburban community of approximately 13,000 residents. Incorporated in 1928, it became a city in 1970. Wood Dale has a daytime population of over 35,000. The City is surrounded by three golf courses and many acres of forest preserves.
