City of Wood Dale
Michael Curiale currently serves as Alderman for Ward 2 in the City of Wood Dale, a position held since April 2021 following their election. Prior to this role, Michael was a Food Safety and Microbiology Expert at Food Safety Consultant, LLC from October 2018 to December 2020. Their extensive career in food safety includes a significant tenure as Senior Food Safety Specialist at Nestlé from November 2003 to January 2018 and as Technical and Laboratory Director at Merieux NutriSciences (Silliker Laboratories) from September 1987 to October 2003. Earlier roles included Project Manager at Gene Trak Systems / Integrated Genetics and Research Fellow at Tufts University School of Medicine. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Genetics/Molecular Biology from Oregon State University and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago.

The City of Wood Dale is a northwest suburban community of approximately 13,000 residents. Incorporated in 1928, it became a city in 1970. Wood Dale has a daytime population of over 35,000.
