Luba Zhaurova

Luba Zhaurova is a seasoned professional in municipal sustainability and urban planning, currently serving as the Director of Projects for the City of Worcester since September 2008. In this role, Luba leads the implementation of the Green Worcester Plan, focusing on financing and coordinating climate resilience initiatives. Previously, Luba held positions as a Sustainability Project Manager and as a Senior Planner after starting as a Planning Analyst at the Division of Planning & Regulatory Services. Prior experience includes serving as the Education Coordinator and Acting Director of Education at the Walden Woods Project. Luba holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on Ecology from Boston University.
