Katherine Dennis is an accomplished music educator and director with extensive experience in violin instruction and orchestra leadership. Currently serving as the Orchestra Director for the City School District of New Rochelle since September 2021, Katherine also instructs violin at the Hudson River School of Music and Suzuki on the Island. Previous roles include Music Teacher positions at Hyde Leadership Charter School and Thurgood Marshall Academy for Learning & Social Change, along with violin instruction at various music conservatories. Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from East Carolina University, a Master's degree in Violin Performance from McGill University, and a Master's degree in Music Teacher Education from Hunter College. Currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt Peabody College, Katherine has a strong commitment to fostering musical education and engagement in diverse educational settings.
