Olivera Jokic

Olivera Jokic is the Director of the Gender Studies Program and an Associate Professor of English and Gender Studies at John Jay College, City University of New York, a position held since September 2015. With a longstanding academic career beginning as a PhD student and Graduate Fellow at the University of Michigan from 2001 to 2008, Olivera has developed a solid foundation in English Literature. This foundation was further reinforced by obtaining an MA in English from the University of Texas at Arlington, where studies took place from 1997 to 2001, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Novi Sad, completed in 1996.
