Tania Shinkawa

Tania Shinkawa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and strategic operations. Currently serving as the Director of Enterprise Strategy at City Year since October 2022, Tania leads initiatives to enhance student data systems and drive enterprise-wide transformation through stakeholder alignment and strategic partnerships. Prior roles include Senior Director of SIS Operations and Senior Director of Student Systems Strategy at Relay Graduate School of Education, where Tania co-led the implementation of a new student information system and managed recruitment strategies for thousands of applicants. Tania's background also includes significant positions at the NYC Department of Education, where strategic oversight of teacher recruitment and evaluation initiatives led to substantial hiring and program development. Tania holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Princeton University, demonstrating a strong educational foundation in management and East Asian studies.
