Scientific Software Developer at CityScience

Kathryn is a scientific software developer at City Science where she creates complex code to model transport systems. Prior to City Science, Kathryn spent 12 years at TRL where she developed software and new features for ARCADY and TRANSYT. She has extensive experience developing software for Smart Motorways and using optimisation techniques to manage real-time traffic flows. Kathryn also likes getting her hands dirty - with physical computer hardware, building robots and finding novel applications for Raspberry Pi’s. She also likes getting her hands dirty gardening - a pastime she describes as the “secret of happiness”. One day she hopes to combine her passion for robotics and nature by building a robotic weeding machine. City Science are eagerly awaiting the patent rights.
