Liam Caffrey

Liam Caffrey has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Liam started their career as a Business Application Developer at Compaq Computer EMEA in 1993 and worked there until 1997. Liam then moved on to Nortel Networks as a S/W Engineer from 1998 to 2002. Liam briefly worked as a Sybase Developer at KBC Asset Management in 2002. From 2004 to 2008, they worked in Business Systems Development at Boston Scientific.

In 2008, Liam joined the Marine Institute as a Database Specialist and worked there until 2013. Liam then worked as a Database and GIS Specialist at Active Mind Technology Inc from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they had two concurrent roles; Senior Oracle Developer at Fidelity Investments from January to July, and Database Developer at Barna Recycling from July to December. At Barna Recycling, they were responsible for spatio-temporal data warehousing in the waste management sector, providing systems integration, database development, data analysis, and visualization development services.

In 2020, Liam joined LiveScore as a Data Engineering role and worked there until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Data Engineering for CitySwift from 2023 onwards.

Liam Caffrey obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Galway, completing their education between 1982 and 1986.
