Lauren Kidwell

Lauren Kidwell's work experience includes serving as the Chief Impact and Operating Officer at Civic Nation since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Stay-at-Home Parent at Owen & Henry, Inc from 2020 to 2022. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Managing Partner at 270 Strategies. Before that, they served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Commerce from 2015 to 2017. Lauren also worked as a Partner at 270 Strategies from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they held various roles at Obama for America, including National Regional Director for the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic from 2011 to 2012, Midwest Field Director from 2008 to 2008, and Regional Field Director, Iowa Caucuses from 2007 to 2008. Lauren also worked as the Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Assistant at the US Department of Health and Human Services from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they were a Regional Field Director at the Minnesota DFL Party in 2006.

Lauren Kidwell completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Following that, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree at Harvard Kennedy School between 2014 and 2015.
