David King

David King serves as a Board Safety Adviser at the Civil Aviation Authority since March 2022 and owns Safety Factors Ltd from August 2010. Additionally, David King has been a Visiting Professor at Cranfield University since April 2005. Prior experience includes serving as a Non-Executive Board Member for the UK Civil Aviation Authority from September 2013 to August 2021, and as Chairman of the Board Safety Review Committee at Cathay Pacific Airways from February 2012 to March 2019. From April 2005 to July 2010, David King held the position of Chief Inspector of Air Accidents at the Air Accidents Investigation Branch UK. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The City University (1990-1992) and a BSc Hons in Aeronautical Engineering from Kingston University (1967-1971). Early education was completed at Surbiton County Grammar School (1958-1963).
