Melanie Waddell

Melanie Waddell is an experienced aviation professional with a comprehensive background in flight operations and safety oversight. Currently serving as a Senior CASA Inspector for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority since March 2022, Waddell has previously held positions as a Flying Operations Inspector at both the Civil Aviation Directorate in Transport Malta and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. With a solid foundation in aviation training as Chief Flying Instructor, Examiner, and Charter Pilot at National Aerospace Training, Waddell also contributed to the field as an Editor for the Aviation Theory Centre. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations from Swinburne University of Technology, earned between 1994 and 1997.
