Imani Bryant is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in civil rights advocacy and criminal justice reform. Currently serving as the Senior Campaigns and Programs Assistant at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights since August 2022, Imani has previously worked as a Program Assistant in Justice Reform at the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where responsibilities included federal lobbying for criminal justice and voting rights reform. Imani also held various leadership roles at Howard University, including Director of Student Advocacy and President of CASCADE, focusing on LGBTQ+ acceptance and education. Additionally, experience includes roles as an Associate Project Consultant at CommunityBuild Ventures, an intern at the National Black Justice Coalition, and a Research Assistant at Howard University. Imani Bryant is pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government at Howard University, building on the foundation of a Bachelor of Arts in the same field earned in 2021.

The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is a coalition charged by its diverse membership of more than 250 national organizations to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States. Through advocacy and outreach to targeted constituencies, The Leadership Conference works toward the goal of a more open and just society – an America as good as its ideals. The Leadership Conference is a 501(c)(4) organization that engages in legislative advocacy. It was founded in 1950 and has coordinated national lobbying efforts on behalf of every major civil rights law since 1957.
