Mel Teran is currently an Engineer Intern at Civilitude Engineers & Planners, focusing on land and site development while collaborating with clients and city officials to manage projects from inception to completion. Previous experience includes cooking for over 300 individuals as a Chef at The University of Texas at Austin, leading a growth mindset program as a Lead Camp Counselor at Neuron Garage, and teaching AP Physics as a Student Teacher in the Austin Independent School District. Mel has also shared survival skills as a Survival Teacher with Natureversity and served as an Environmental Educator at Westcave Outdoor Discovery. Prior roles involved work in land and site development with BGE, Inc. and WGI, creating a strong foundation in environmental and engineering principles, supported by an ongoing Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
