Jeewoo Kang

Jeewoo Kang is a Doctoral Student at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on developing synthetic biology platforms for neuroscience in the Xiaojing Gao Lab within the Department of Chemical Engineering. Previous experience includes consulting for Civilization Ventures and conducting due diligence as an Investment Fellow at H7 BioCapital, where investment recommendations for healthcare projects were prepared. Kang has also contributed to market analysis for RNA therapeutic development with Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc., and served as a Teaching Assistant for a Bioengineering course aimed at high school students. Additional internship experiences range from global operations at Samsung Biologics to preclinical research at Biogen and ALS patient-derived research at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Kang holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biological Engineering and Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
