Mitchell Colver, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of higher education and student support. Mitchell currently serves as the Vice President for Community Practice at Civitas Learning, where they oversee the development of a community of practitioners focused on student success and analytics. Mitchell is passionate about using analytics to enhance educational outcomes and is dedicated to promoting equity in student ecosystems.

Prior to their role at Civitas Learning, Mitchell worked at Utah State University in various positions. Mitchell served as a Semesterly Instructor, Professional Practice Assistant Professor, and Founding Director at the Center for Student Analytics. Mitchell also worked as a Student Transitions Coordinator, providing support to students during their transition into university life.

Mitchell has also held a Visiting Scholar position at London South Bank University, where they contributed to pedagogical research and collaborated with international partners to enhance teaching and student support practices.

Before their academic career, Mitchell worked at Eastern Washington University as a Retention & Learning Specialist, Instructor of Special Topics in Psychology, and TRiO/SSS Tutor & Writing Responder. Mitchell also gained experience at Clark County School District as an RTI Instructional Assistant.

Mitchell Colver, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of education. Mitchell obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology/Music from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in 2007. Mitchell then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Experimental Psychology from Eastern Washington University, which they completed in 2010. Mitchell's commitment to education led him to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Education from Utah State University in 2018. In addition to their academic degrees, Mitchell has obtained certifications such as the Master Teacher Certificate and the Teaching Scholar Certificate, which demonstrate their expertise in innovative teaching methods. Mitchell has also received the International Tutor Certification Program, Levels I-III from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), showcasing their dedication to supporting student learning. Mitchell's continuous pursuit of knowledge is further exemplified by their recent certification as a Thought Leader in Data Leadership, Culture, and Strategy Institute from EDUCAUSE in 2021.
