Joan Mesquida has been working in the software industry since 2009. In 2021, they became the CTO at Civitfun - Check-in / Check-out Software. From 2012 to 2021, they worked at APPloading as a Project Management & Full-Stack developer, a Project management & iOS developer, and an iOS App Developer. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Multimedia Information Technologies Lab at Universitat de les Illes Balears as an iOS Developer and at at4.net Internet y Comunicación SL as a Front-end Developer.

Joan Mesquida completed their Ingeniería informática superior degree from Universitat de les Illes Balears in 2013. Joan had previously obtained an Ingeniería técnica en informática de gestión degree from the same institution in 2011. In 2017, they earned a Scrum Manager certification from Scrum Manager.
