Enda Kiernan, FCIWM, is a seasoned professional in waste management and environmental engineering with extensive experience at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) since June 2006, serving as Chairperson and Past President, notably as the first individual from the Republic of Ireland to assume the presidency for the 2018/2019 term. Kiernan has held various leadership roles, including overseeing the Republic of Ireland Centre and contributing to strategic direction and budget management as a General Councillor and Trustee. In addition to a significant tenure at Cork County Council, currently as Head of Waste Enforcement, Kiernan has a strong academic background with multiple degrees, including a PhD from Imperial College London, and several certifications related to health and safety and construction management.
