Jan Franta is an accomplished transportation engineer with extensive experience in transport planning, engineering, and project management. Currently serving as the Principal Transportation Engineer at CKL Planning | Surveying | Engineering | Environmental since October 2025, Jan previously held key positions at Harrison Grierson, including Technical Director - Transport, where a significant team expansion was achieved. Jan has also led the Transport Team at LEAD Alliance, contributing to large-scale developments under the Tāmaki Regeneration Project. With a strong technical background, Jan has worked on various significant projects, including road safety assessments and transportation modelling, during tenure at firms such as Flow Transportation Specialists and Stantec. Jan holds a Master's degree in Transportation Sciences from the Czech Technical University in Prague and has participated in an Erasmus exchange program focused on Transport Engineering at Tampere University of Technology.
