Christian Hiemeyer completed a one-year evening program for International Management Development at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco between 1981 and 1985. Before attending university, they studied Shipping and Business Administration at Agder Regional College from 1979 to 1981. In 1977, Christian Hiemeyer completed a program called Sjøkrigsskolen KA linje, and they attended Berg Vidregående skole from 1974 to 1977.
