Kersh Thevasundaram

Kersh Thevasundaram is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in the fields of chemical biology, synthetic biology, and carbon dioxide removal technologies. Currently serving as the Head of Science at Clairity Technology since September 2022, Kersh leads the development of cost-effective CO2 adsorbents for direct air capture. Additionally, Kersh is a member of the Isometric Science Network, contributing to the establishment of consensus in carbon dioxide removal. Previous roles include Scientist I at Ansa Biotechnologies, where Kersh invented novel methods for DNA assembly, and Scientific Advisor at EPU Ventures, focusing on direct air capture solutions. Kersh's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, where contributions included engineering carbon fixation pathways and teaching Biophysical Chemistry. Kersh has also collaborated in various capacities with organizations such as the Engineering Biology Research Consortium and Caltech.
