Aaron Boussina is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of health and biotechnology. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and various research roles at UC San Diego Health, Aaron also holds significant leadership positions as Board Member, CTO, and CEO at Clairyon, alongside founding Hedral, Inc., a biotech consulting firm specializing in drug and device development processes. Additional contributions include roles as AI Scientist at the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Center for Health Innovation and GenAI Workgroup Lead at the Coalition for Health AI. Previously, Aaron has held positions at PharmaStat LLC, Illumina, and Genentech, where notable achievements include developing clinical trial programming solutions and automation for genomic sequencing. Aaron's educational journey includes a PhD in Biomedical Informatics and a master’s degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego, complemented by a master’s in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
