Alan Carmody

Alan Carmody currently serves as Clerk of Works and Technician in the General Design Department at Clare County Council since November 2019. With a career spanning over three decades, Alan has been a BER Assessor since January 1993, providing energy assessments for new and existing dwellings and advising on energy-efficient construction standards. Alan also has experience in dwelling design, planning applications, building surveying, and project management as an Architectural Technician. From January 1997 to 2014, Alan was the Managing Director of P Carmody & Co Ltd, a general building contractor. Educational qualifications include a PG Certificate in NZEB Policies and Technologies from Technological University Dublin, a Certificate in BIM-Building CAD with Revit Architecture from Limerick Institute of Technology, and an Architectural Technology degree from DIT Bolton Street.
