Camille Schwartz has had a varied work experience, beginning with a Tutor role in 2007. From 2010-2016, they were a Research Assistant/Lab Manager at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they developed novel methods for native purification of folded RNA and optimized techniques for cell free protein synthesis. From 2014-2015, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Biology, working to identify transcription factors involved in differentiation of TH1 cells. From 2015-2016, they were a Graduate Student Researcher (Master Thesis) at the Max Delbrück Center, investigating disease associated sequence variants in noncoding regions of human heart tissue. From 2016-2019, they were a Bioinformatics Engineer at NantOmics, LLC, leading the development of a pharmacogenomics analysis pipeline. Finally, from 2019-2020, they were a Computational Biologist and Senior Computational Biologist at Claret Bioscience.

Camille Schwartz obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley between 2009 and 2013. In 2012, they spent a year studying at Freie Universität Berlin before returning to their studies at the Charité Universitätsmedizin, where they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Molecular Medicine in 2016.
