Alexey Salamini has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Alexey is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Claria Medical, a pre-commercial medical device start-up focused on developing minimally invasive surgical tools for women's healthcare. Alexey was also an Executive Advisor and Co-Founder/CEO of Piccolo Medical, a catheter navigation platform company that developed a FDA Cleared SmartPICC device. Previously, Alexey was the Co-Founder and CEO of Speech Buddies, Inc., where they built the largest network of private speech therapists in the United States. Alexey was also a Founding Team Member at Miramar Labs, a spinout of The Foundry, and served as a Program Manager and Mechanical Engineer at IDEO. Throughout their career, Alexey has gained experience in leading interdisciplinary programs, identifying user needs, concept development, prototyping, and production design in industries such as medical devices, clean tech, consumer products, and furniture.

Alexey Salamini attended St. Paul's School, where they completed their high school education in 1995. Alexey then enrolled in Princeton University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued higher education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2004 to 2006. At MIT, they earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and also completed an MBA program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Claria Medical is passionate about developing best-in-class treatments to address unmet needs in women’s healthcare. Claria is a pre-commercial medical device start-up developing minimally invasive surgical tools. Early accomplishments have resulted in a “Safer Technologies Designation” from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In addition toprivate financing, Claria Medical has been awarded prestigious National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health grants to develop products to improve hysterectomy, myomectomy and other surgical procedures.
