Matthijs W. de Boer

Matthijs W. de Boer is an experienced science communicator and researcher with a diverse background in neuroscience and medical writing. Currently serving as a Science Writer for the Human Brain Project since December 2022, Matthijs also works as a Freelance Writer for LabTwin, focusing on user communication and the enhancement of an Automatic Transcription model. With a strong foundation in journalism as a Freelance Journalist since September 2019, Matthijs has held various editorial and writing roles, including Medical Writer & Education Manager at Medcon International and Editor at New Scientist NL. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, complemented by a certificate in science journalism.
