Alex Nkengne, PhD, currently serves as the Digital Innovation Lab director at Clarins since March 2014, overseeing in vivo clinical studies to assess skin physiology and the safety and efficacy of new cosmetic products. Prior to this role, Alex worked at L'Oréal as the instrumental methods manager, coordinating methods across multiple countries for performance product evaluation. At Johnson & Johnson, experience ranged from Principal Scientist leading Proof of Principle clinical studies to managing a skin imaging platform as a junior project leader. Alex began a career in research as a graduate research assistant at INSERM and as an R&D software engineer at Johnson & Johnson, demonstrating a strong foundation in medical computer science with advanced degrees including a PhD from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an Executive MBA from École des Ponts Business School.
