Tyler Rice has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Tyler started their career as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Intern at UPMC in 2015, where they worked with patients after surgeries and assisted during stress tests. Tyler also worked as a Personal Trainer, specifically training an individual with Huntington's disease, by conducting pretests and creating personalized exercise plans.

At Slippery Rock University, Tyler was a Student Research Assistant, assisting in the design and protocol of a research study under the supervision of Dr. Michael Holmstrup and Dr. Jermey Dicus. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Appalachian State University, where they collaborated with Dr. Andrew Shanely on projects related to contractile function in mice.

Tyler also worked as a Graduate Assistant at Appalachian State University, supporting undergraduate students with research and funding guidance through the Office of Student Research. Tyler also served as the activities director for the S-STEM scholar program, organizing community-building events for program participants.

At the University of Pittsburgh, Tyler worked as an Interviewer in which they contacted potential research participants for various studies. This involved reading prompts and asking questions to determine eligibility.

Tyler then joined Integrated Health 21 as a Health Screening Specialist, where they conducted biometric screenings, assisted with office duties, and performed data entry. Later, they became a Data Analyst at the same company, working with the data manager to schedule meetings and managing the scheduling database using Microsoft Excel. Tyler also utilized complex formulas in Excel.

Their most recent role is at Clario, where they began as a Clinical Data Manager, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external data management inquiries. Tyler was involved in data collection, cleaning, reconciliation, and delivery, as well as constructing the Data Management Plan in collaboration with the Sponsor/CRO. Tyler also participated in discussions regarding study setup and timelines. Tyler currently holds the position of Lead Clinical Data Manager at Clario.

Tyler Rice, EP-C, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Exercise Physiology from Appalachian State University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Exercise Science at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2015.

In addition to their education, Tyler has obtained various certifications. Tyler is a Certified Exercise Physiologist, certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, which they acquired in January 2019. Tyler is also an ACE Health Coach, certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness), obtained in December 2018. Furthermore, Tyler holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, obtained in January 2017, and has completed several courses related to responsible conduct of research and working with lab animals through CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative), with certifications obtained in 2015 and 2016.
