Marnee Chua

Marnee Chua currently serves as the Executive Director of Clarion West, a nonprofit literary organization focused on speculative fiction, where responsibilities include overseeing workshops and supporting emerging voices in writing. As the Cofounder and President of the Board at Works Progress Coworking Cooperative, Marnee fosters a collaborative space for diverse professionals. Previous roles include Director of Development at the University of California, Merced, and Community Services Director at Merced Community College District, where Marnee successfully managed significant program transitions and donor cultivation. Marnee's early career involved development roles at Marin Conservation Corps and Mal Warwick Associates, followed by service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, where Marnee cofounded the Palawan Conservation Corps. Marnee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and an MBA focused on equitable and regenerative economics from The Next Economy MBA program at LIFT Economy.
