Lia Schallert

Lia Schallert has a diverse work experience in various fields. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Deputy Field Director at Kaplan for Oakland, where they analyzed data to target voters and managed the voter database. Lia then worked as a Private English Instructor, teaching standardized test-taking to high school students and business English to adults while also assisting with translations and business preparations. In 2015, they became a High School Teaching Assistant at I.E.S. Avenida de los Toreros. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Test Prep Instructor at AJ Tutoring. In 2019, Lia became a Data Science Fellow at Metis and later joined Genentech as a Data Analyst, where they served as the lead data steward for an Oracle SQL database, ensuring data accuracy for internal business dashboards.
