Ejike Ohuegbe has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. Ejike currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at Clark Builders, where they lead the HR function, provides guidance to all levels of the organization, and works on elevating HR to a strategic business partner role. Prior to this, Ejike worked at Husky Energy as the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Global Mobility, where they successfully managed a high-volume recruitment cycle and led the implementation of a new applicant tracking system. Ejike also served as a Senior HR Business Partner, providing strategic HR guidance to support heavy oil and gas operations. Ejike has previous experience at Shell Canada Limited, where they held various HR positions and contributed to labour relations policy development, operational readiness for a joint venture start-up, and organizational growth. Ejike began their career as a Community Social Worker at The City of Calgary and later worked as a Resettlement Counsellor/Team Lead at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society.

Ejike Ohuegbe has a Master's Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Communities, Organizations, Management & Policy from the University of Calgary. Ejike also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the same university. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education/Teaching from the University of Benin. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained a certification in Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in 2020.
