John Carson

John Carson is an experienced IT professional with a background in network and systems administration, helpdesk support, and IT coordination. Currently serving as a Remote IT Assistant at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute since July 2023, responsibilities include Active Directory maintenance, Office 365 Hybrid Administration, and PowerShell scripting. Previously, John worked for over 13 years as the IT/Media Services Coordinator at the same institution, focusing on user administration, SharePoint support, and budget planning. Earlier roles include IT Support at Southwestern Vermont Supervisory Union, Computer Support Technician at Mount Snow, Network/Systems Analyst at Harlequin Books, and Network Engineer at Graphic Controls. John holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University at Buffalo and an AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Erie Community College.
