Heather Benton has a range of work experience, primarily in the field of education. Heather started their career as a server at Bonefish Grill from 2007 to 2009, followed by a role as a research assistant at Armstrong Atlantic State University from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, they worked as a practicum student at Clarke County School District. Heather then became a graduate assistant at the University of Georgia from 2013 to 2014. Heather joined Clarke County School District as a student teacher from January 2014 to April 2014. Heather later became a special education teacher at the same district in June 2014. In addition, Heather is also in their final semester as a graduate student at the University of Georgia, where they are completing qualitative research for their master's thesis on the perspectives of individuals who have siblings with a disability.
Heather Benton pursued their education starting from 2002 by attending Armstrong State University, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2010.
